NLPIR SEMINAR 22nd ISSUE COMPLETED

Last Monday, Yaofei Yang gave a presentation about the paper, Point to the point : Uyghur morphological segmentation using PointerNetwork with GRU, and shared some opinion on it.

Uyghur is an agglutinative language. Like Chinese, Uyghur morphological segmentation is necessary for further study in this language processing. Previous work take this task as a tagging problem with {b, m, e, s}.

Our tutor pointed out that the result in Table 2 of various hyper-parameter is insufficient. He suggested adding couples of experiments. The problem to be solved should be raised in the introduction section.
